McAllen Storm-Damaged Home

The monsoon inflicted heavy storm damage to the foyer of this upscale home in McAllen. The rainwater penetrated through a break in the roof and soaked the rafters, insulation, and ran down the walls. The weight of the water broke through the ceiling as depicted in the Before Photo. Our SERVPRO technicians know what to do. The assessment led to a plan of action. The After Photo depicts the final result of our efforts to salvage as much of the structure as possible. The demolition required scaffolding, then dehumidifiers and air movers, (two are still set on the scaffold) to thoroughly dry the affected area. We moved and secured the furnishing during the tear-out, and completed the service with an antimicrobial spray that can help inhibit the growth of mold.
